What is Sore Feet For The Beat?
‘Sore Feet For The Beat’ is a website dedicated to a charity walk starting April 19th and ending 2nd May 2020. Donations initially helped raise money for ‘The Beat Goes On’, an appeal which was created to crowd fund a statue of Ipswich Town legend Kevin Beattie outside of the Portman Road ground. Now the statue has been paid for, the walk is now raising monies to set up a Kevin Beattie Foundation. The statue is due to be unveiled 2nd May upon the completion of the walk.
Who was Kevin Beattie?
Sir Bobby Robson worked with some of the finest footballers the world has ever seen but whenever he was asked to conjure a list of the very best, he never failed to include Kevin Beattie.
‘The Beat’, as he became known at Portman Road, went on to be voted time and again by supporters as the club’s greatest player.
WE WOULD SINCERELY LIKE TO THANK THE FOLLOWING SPONSORS AND CONTRIBUTORS TO OUR CAUSE
